Now that’s a lot of mileage…
In a recent announcement EA have stated that since 1994, there have been over 100 million units of NFS games sold! That’s a lot of monies worth, $2.7 billion to be exact.
“Few videogame franchises ever reach the 100M units mark, so this is a huge honor,” offered Frank Gibeau, president of EA Games.
There have been a total of 15 NFS titles in the franchise, spanning across 14 platforms. All this totals up to nearly as much money as I have in my bank account, that ridiculously large amount I mentioned early, $2.7 BILLION. Yes it’s worth mentioning it again.
EA thanked all their fans for (excuse the pun) driving them to this milestone. I’m sure with the release of Need for Speed SHIFT and the up and coming Need for Speed NITRO EA will be sure to sell even more NFS games.
