Assassins Creed: Lineage most viewed video on Youtube
Ubisoft released three short films for Assassins Creed leading up to where AC2 will start off. According to a press release from Ubisoft, the first video was viewed 1.7 million times in the first 24 hours of its release.
Also on November 13 all three of the Assassins Creed: Lineage short films will be showcased online, after the first TV broadcast in several countries.

LONDON, UK – November 4, 2009 – Ubisoft® today announced the first of the three episodes from the new Assassin’s Creed: Lineage short movies that made its debut on YouTube on October 27, 2009, was the most watched video on its website with over 1.7 million views worldwide in a period of 24 hours. On the day of its release, the first episode of Assassin’s Creed: Lineage was also the most commented video and it also received with excellent feedbacks from viewers.
All the three episodes in the Assassin’s Creed: Lineage short film series will be showcased online on November 13, 2009 after the first TV broadcast in several countries. The selected online partners and details will be provided later.
Developed by Ubisoft’s Hybride Technologies, the visual effects studio behind 300 and Sin City, and Ubisoft Digital Arts, Assassin’s Creed: Lineage combines live action and computer generated imagery (CGI) to explore the events that happen just before the Assassin’s Creed II game starts. The short films revolve around Ezio’s father, Giovanni Auditore da Firenze, and give insight on the game’s back story and universe.
