I am pretty sure most of us have had to live through the harsh experience of 1000+ remotes in your living room that control all your multimedia devices. Luckily for us some genius came up with the idea of 1 remote that controls everything, except that remote could not control everything and was a mission to program. Good news, Logitech have released the Logitech Harmony 700; a remote control that promises to clear your living room of unnecessary clutter and leave you with one sexy remote.

Harmony 700 Remote
The remote really does look great and with support of over 250 000 home entertainment devices (this number is growing daily); it is almost certain that your device will be able to be controlled by the remote. The setup sounds like it will be a breeze because all you do is plug in the remote control into your PC/Mac and visit the Logitech website to get the software required to manage the control.
Now I am pretty certain that your cheap Pick n Pay no name brand DVD players will not be supported but I am sure that it will support most of the popular brands out there. The remote will set you back about R1500 and should arrive in November.
