Never been to rAGE. Love gaming, but just don’t have the time. There are so many great games to try. Oh how I wish I had a 36 hour day. But then, I would probably still use that to program.
My motto: Code – Eat – Sleep.

I know a few people, my nephew and some friends, that rave about rAGE, so I’m sure it will be an awesome event.

I’m really hoping that this year’s rAge will be something amazing!
There is yet to be a rAge as awesome as two years ago which was coupled with the launch of the Xbox 360!
Sure we had the edge because of the 360 launch, but besides that even EA’s stand was disappointing last year in comparison with two years ago. I remember they had a whole room with flashing lights and serious speakers playing game previews, there were projectors projecting these previews in a full 360 degree view! They even had a bar on top of their stand, this was only accessible to VIP and Press card holders, but none the less it was awesome seeing rAge from a different angle!
I would love to see more big guns in the market going to these extremes when promoting their company at rAge. Besides all the technology, giveaways and fine promotion ladies, the quality and impressiveness of the stands contributes a lot to the Awesomeness of the whole expo.

As far as the competitive gaming goes, I must admit that I am a bit bored with the same old Dota and CS regulars. I remember the first few rAge expos had competitive 1 vs 1 style games! Like Quake and Warcraft, these were exciting to watch! We use to have people from all over the world coming here to play the game. To me the comps have lost the “touch” of excitement, I don’t want to really see how a team executes strat nr4 and keep a sniper in the back of the room to take out the whole enemy team. And I don’t want to see how someone tries to build the ultimate demon sword by killing minions of plants and ghouls. Anyway… That’s a whole discussion on its own, and probably a matter of personal dilemma.

rAge has always been entertaining and quite the adventure for anyone who’s lives are remotely touched by technology.
I will def be there and will as ever enjoy the Awesomeness!

@Robert, I can’t help you with a 36 hour day. But have a bar one, that’s supposedly for a 25 hour day. As for rAge, I would recommend going to the event this year. Really really awesome.

@TolecnaL, I agree with the same old boring games. Quake 3 was awesome to watch. Big screen, projecting both players playing, crowd gathering up. Just the whole vibe was amazing. I still remember way back in the day, when it was still GLSA (gamers league of South Africa). A Quake 3 game between Ph4ntom and Viper going into sudden death. Was one of the best games I’ve ever seen.

Lets hope Starcraft 2 can revive the competitive gaming scene.
